This morning, Baltimore City Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake held a rally at City Hall, to celebrate the Orioles success.
Hundreds showed up, which is no small feat for an event that takes place on a weekday in the middle of the morning.
The Mayor made some brief remarks.
After her remarks, both her and the Oriole bird were hoisted up in twin cherry-picker's.
After a slight delay moving the bird into position during which someone in the crowd shouted "Just cause he's a bird doesn't mean he can fly". The banner was unveiled and confetti streamed down.
