Baltimore Prepares for Sandy

Baltimore's Harbor on Sunday Afternoon from Federal Hill Park

In case you've been living under a rock, Hurricane Sandy is about to bear down on us here in Baltimore! So after taking a moment to read the IHateJJRedick Hurricane Sandy Survival Guide.

Which included this guy letting us know exactly what to do.

I decided to take action and of course take my camera along. I could think of only one place to go and that would be Fells Point, where it floods if someone accidentally leaves their garden hose on too long.

Baltimore residents prepare sand bags in Fells Point

Thames St in Fells Point was a parking lot with people lined up to get their sand bags in preparation for Sandy.

Some watering holes were offering Hurricane Sandy specials

After walking around in Fells and taking it all in, I decided to head to Safeway in Canton. Unless you needed Bottled Water, Canned Tuna, or any type of Bread of besides White, you were in pretty good shape.

By 5PM on Sunday few cans of Tuna was left, however plenty of Spam was available.

However Water was long gone.

Heeding Governor O'Malley's warning, I stocked up on supplies, first of course beer and alcohol(thanks Loading Dock Liquors, for being open and well stocked on Saturday evening).

Stay safe out there, and give Cards against Humanity a whirl!
